SAP expanded with digital archive
SAP is used for applications ranging from financial administration to Human Resource. Many of these applications are accompanied by extensive document flows. Expansion has linked Xtendis to SAP in a variety of ways. This creates a digital archive that is seamlessly integrated into SAP but can also be used by other systems or as a standalone application. In practice, this is done, for example, by making the documents archived in Xtendis available in both SAP and SIEBEL, for example, but also via the website. This allows customers to consult parts of the digital archive via a website. The various links with a variety of SAP versions, ranging from SAP Business One to R3 and MySAP ERP, offer the following functionality:
- digital archiving in Xtendis of documents produced by SAP;
- request documents and files from SAP from the digital Xtendis archive;
- scanning, recognizing and booking invoices in SAP.
Alternative to the SAP Content Server
Expansion has developed a module for Xtendis that offers the same functions as the SAP Content Server and also communicates in the same way. By using this module in combination with Xtendis, SAP can use Xtendis as a Content Store in the same way as when using the SAP Content Server. In addition to financial and management benefits, the main advantage of this combination is that the documents can be archived and consulted not only by SAP but also by other applications.
